I will be in CD'A on the 4th of June If anyone wants to give me dark or white eggs, or possibly anything unusual I will be receptive to a carton...Uglyfoot,Firedragon, CyndiD.....

I don't like to hatch past July because it starts to get cold again, chicks don't like the cold.

We'll see what we get in July. My SFH are my only white layers, and they just started laying this week. Maybe they'll be first to test the breeding pen. And my only really dark layers seem to be my Welsummers. They are laying nice dark eggs compared to my bcm amazingly.

hahaha I totally read that as July for some reason. I haven't checked their eggs for fertility since they laid 2 this week. Won't have many first week of June

@firedragon1982 Thanks so much for the eggs. Shhhh.... dont tell my DH, but i gave her 10 eggs. Rumples allowed me to temove her unfertile eggs and place your eggs under her without a fuss. I left a few eggs beside her, and she scooped them up and flattened out like a pancake. Happy hen.

btw.... what breed of hens were they from? Rumples is a rumpless Lavender (split) Ameraucana project hen from Pips and Peeps.

Good! I am glad she's happy now. The blue-green ones are from my bbs Ameraucaunas, the browns are from my Marans and Welsummer hens. The little white is my Swedish flower pullet. They have a roo of each except Marans with them, so will either be an olive egger/tinted egger of some sort, or chance to be a purebred. Darn roll of the dice as who won the genetics race. The hens just started accepting the new Ameraucana roo from pips n peeps.

I just looked up the Swedish Flower. Beautiful! I hope it hatches with a pullet. And i have been searching for Wellsummer and Marans. I love the egg color. Olive eggers would be fantastic. DH is not going to be happy with me. Oh well....
