My chart didn't say what happens if you mix blue and splash which is what I did. but i guess it is like mixing blue with blue. That is how I got black.
 
Although from what im reading looks like the most broody breeds tend to have feathery legs. So i may have to go with something like that. I kinda like the look of cochins, and seramas , ameracuanas. I like straight combs but dont mind the pea combs. I dont like the rose comb.

What are large breed chickens that go broody?


I was going through and doing some research today and found some bantams with clean-legs that were bred for broodiness. They are called Nankins. Supposedly Chantecler and Australorp will both go broody and are larger sized.
