I told my DH that if the coop broader wasn't don't yesterday that I was heading to the garage to see what I could come up with.I think I did pretty good for a temporary one.
Great job! Any plan to keep the shavings inside? I have a metal dog crate I will use and have used before, but the shavings spill out the side of it as well.

no It is in the coop so I am not worried bout it I just wanted to keep them confined to a smaller area rather than letting them have free reign while we are renovating.

My 10 month old pure lavender orpingtons just sold. I asked $20 ea. The people who bought them had bought some that I hatched a couple years ago. Pure lavenders are like double your money in the bank, I bought them as chicks for ten, got to enjoy them then sold them.

Oh man, I wish I could take him. I would post him on Facebook or any of the WA threads, have pics handy too. Do you know what color he is?

Thanx yes he is black and white very good looking guy. I'll check the Link out..

Well Crap.

I was taking my eggs out of the incubator and putting them in still trays so I could take my turner out and add some rails to it, and totally flipped one of the cartons on the floor :hit  Lost 2 D'uccle eggs and 1 Lavender cuckoo D'anvers eggs (the expensive, only rec'd 6)

So stupid.
oh darn.. so sorry. i am always afraid of doing the same thing.

Yeah its worse, i discovered 3 more eggs that while not visibly cracked, when i candled they were extremely cracked. So i am trying to patch them with clear nail polish to see if that will hold it or if i'm SOL. Down to 3 of the Lavender D'Anvers eggs if this doesn't work.

Hi, can I buy some eggs from you as well? I would love 8-12. what do you charge? or if you want to trade for eating eggs, i have lots of eggs. Thank you
Sure CyndiD, I will ask my 3 girls to do their best- no need to talk to my rooster, he's always diligent in his duties :P Eating eggs is all we need. I sure hope this works out for everyone, it would be fun to see pics of their offspring :)

Hi,

Not sure if anyone shows on this thread but not having much luck for answers in the Silkie threads.

I recently noticed that one of my Silkie pullets has one toenail sticking straight up. You can't see it but will I still be able to show her?

Thanks!
