Say if you new to Alaska, Fairbanks or Interior,,,let me inform you that I have seen a foot of snow fall on Mothers Day...With that said... Oldman Winter

is still lurking...Be safe on those rds....Sure hard to get started on an outdoor pen when it snowing

Okay
Incubator is full or incubators

.....I had some ebay sell offer me some eggs to cover some hatches that went not to well and I got mixed breed egg on another hatch,,,,So after setting 16 FBCM 2 Legbars 1 orpington cuckoo..I set 30 A&M quail ...Again this am....I will be setting 18 Welsummer bantams and 6 Cuckoo Maran bantamns....Gonna be a busy May..
Okay ..but that it..

The Incubators will be shut down until they are old enough to start laying.... Unless

That's a crazy amount of eggs! And here I am wondering what to do with 4 turkey and 6 BLRW eggs.

Sure is...with my last couple hatches have been disappointing

to say least...I had two different eBay seller offer me some replacement egg, arrived two days apart..I should have thought of that

....the problem is now I have the last 3 hatches , a couple from each so now i have 6 to 10

birds or quail @ different ages,,So its starting to get tougher to keep up with...COME ON SUMMERTIME..My older laying hens are just chompin @ the beak to get out,,PEACE,

Bawk,,,bawk,,, I got some tips for you....Ever hear of growing fodder,,,Well let me say I was setting myself up to do this...Got a bag of barley$9 @ Alaska feed. The wife and I were jacked about trying this out save some Ca$h .I mean 1lb seed and = 6lbs of fodder.... " they say"
Well let step back and look@ this....Have you guy heard of the Produce barn ..On south cushman turn off to 30Th right next to chaz Auto body. There is a fella growing lettuce. basil and 10to 15 different kinds of sproust.. Starts his sprouts out on burlap...Then he harvest the sprouts..there is this strip of burlap that has leftover sprouts seeds/seed hulls and a very big mass of roots. They roll them up into small rolls.Then they will place in a container that YOU provide and pick it up once or twice a week..They call you. Plus you got to buy some sprouts or basil or lettuce.. good stuff and it is fresh ..We help him and he helps us...Just a thought.
