North to Alaska!

Yea that's true . . .for now but I'm gonna make chickens awesome! It's not hard to create a fad in Fairbanks.
Trust me my blue laced red wyadottes and partridge silkies are gonna be all the rage.

I'm down also. I live in Fairbanks and this is our first year raising chickens. Love to meet some folks that have survived our winter with their flock intact.

We could all meet up for coffee sometime and talk flock. peorhaps create an organization.
Kinda like 4h for adults or something.kinda help each other out with advice ect.
Monthly or bi monthly meetings would be a cool.

I've lived in North Pole for four years now, and last month decided it was time to start a small flock. In the past three weeks I've picked up two each of Americanas, Buff & Light Brahmas & Langshans. Planning the coop is in progress and am wondering what others in the interior use for insulation. I'm thinking of going with 10" thick walls (works for my house, should be good for the chickens, right?). I (am my flock) are grateful for suggestions!
