Northern California Meet Up/Chicken Swap - Sunday October 10th!

I had the same communication problems with S&C. They can't be the only folks with the Leghorns though, I know Sandhill has them too. I'll do some digging, I would like to have some right now too!

At least one, I think the Mille pattern is so pretty.

IF you can't find a source for the MFL then you could always move forward with breeding Coronation and Buff Sussex.

I like diversity though, that's why I chose two completely different breeds. I'm so glad though that you've decided to try and start a breeding program!

I keep my neighbors supplied with eggs and I've never had a complaint, yet...

Well let's just say in my mind I'm moving forward but I haven't talked to Larry yet. Maybe if I landed a few big orders in my real business instead of on these forums all day, he'd be more inclined to approve

LOL! I love how the significant others never quite see eye to eye with us crazy chicken folk... I'm in the same boat, believe me.

Anyways, I'll be reading more through this forum, hopefully we can catch the next one. We live in East Bay.

Cheryl, now that you plan on breeding you should look into getting a SOP book from the APA.

I don't believe that the Coronation Sussex have been accepted into the APA, but I'm sure you could find the Australian Standard somewhere online. Either way the APA SOP is an invaluable source of information that any breeder should have a copy of.
