Barnevelders from Local breeder - Pauls rare poultry - his contributors are christina ledford etc, you can see the site www.paulsrarepoultry.com

the black orp is from greenfire and at this point a bit smallish, so I'm guessing just american stock

I have buff orps from hinkjc hatching next saturday - I have 4 spoken for and if any left I'd like to keep a few. 11 going into lockdown on wednesday - all nicely maturing and moving around at this mornings candling

#1 Pen will be Coronation Sussex - I currently have 13 pure coronation ranging from 1 week - 6 weeks old and 4 coronation/light sussex splits, in case I need to strength the breed in size or feathering. They've come from 3 different sources so far.

#2 Pen will be Wheaten Marans, I have a bunch of amazing eggs incubating now. I have a few different breeders lined for eggs for diversity.

#3 Pen will be Silver Penciled Plymouth Rocks....if Wynette's girls ever start laying. They will be purely from her line, until we feel we need to diversify.

What do you think?

Sounds awesome! Can you keep that many roos quiet?

Update...Only 2 chicks left - I may just throw them in the grow out part if no one wants them right away

1 black orpington
1 black copper marans

So FYI, I am going to growing out a bunch so I will have some of the below available in about 4-6 weeks. I'll be keeping some but I'm sure there will be plenty available of the following

Black copper marans
silver sussex
mottled lavender orpington (I think she'll be a keeper!)
buff sussex
light & silver sussex split

I may need someone's help... alot of you met my fiance Larry at the party...his father 96 yrs old just passed away and i'll be going down to Newport Beach where his mom lives (94 yrs old) on Wed or thursday. I have eggs in bator hatching on monday - wednesday. If someone is in the mood to take care of one-day-olds till my return probably sunday or monday after thanksgiving...let me know.

We also lost his sister this year...it's been an emotional roller coaster. I won't be able to travel long distances to drop them off and I'd prefer to keep them in one place. I might already have a solution, but please let me know if it is at all possible.

28 viable eggs in the bator now...

My sincere condolences to you and Larry. I am very sorry for your loss. I wish I was in a position to help but I have an incubator full myself. Hopefully someone local will be able to step in and help. Please let us know.

Mary
