Northern NY Chickenstock: June 25th 2011 aka "Lovinstock"

It was great....sitting round the fire now in a pizza coma right now. Sharing margos! I sold. All my birds but a blew? I think too and split lav ameraucana roo. Saw great birds! And alot of beautiful bunnies and ducks.....
 
We had a great time! Thanks everyone. Came home with WAYYYYYYYYYYYY to many hatching eggs (Thanks to Nat, April, and Travis).

The kids came home knowing that they have a "new Grandma" (Momma). So...who is hosting next year?
 
I got nominated AGAIN for next year! BUT. I think were going to pass for next year since we just had a big one in october...'6 DH is even on board for having another one..after nests years hahaha....once next years takes place..the planning begins for us so hooo
 
Out of all the chicken sales I've went to since living in NY this is the first one that I've bought as many birds as I did. I think I got around 15 or 16 birds. The most before that was 4 runner ducks that I got at an auction. Might have to get rid of the two chickens I don't know the breed of since they aren't getting along with the others to good. We have them in a temporary cage till we get a coop ready outside the front door of the house. Wish my peacock wasn't so spooked easy or I would of gotten a picture of him checking out the new chickens. He kept trying to keep his eye on me but also while squating down to see in the cage. The only breeds that I would of liked but didn't see was some buff orpingtons and turkens. Got every other breed that I wanted to try.

I forgot how burned you can get when it is cloudy. Got in the car and felt so hot then realized I was sunburned. Feeling much better with Dominos pizza right now.

Chickenstock was fun. Met great people, saw some pretty birds, ate good food, and bought an awesome nesting box from Nat that Mr. Nat built.

Thanks tabs...im glad I didn't sell the last nesting box. Hahaha. Mr.Sonew is a great carpenter..but those particular ones rocks. Hope ur girls enjoy them..Mine is going in the minute we get home tomorrow:)​
