Check following link towards bottom. They are crele looking. Reverse mutation or something black breasted red in woodpile?

Oh ok, thanks for pointing that out, I've seen that picture several times but just skimmed over it because I knew it was not the dark or light variety. The part of that page I don't like is one of the roosters on there labeled as light and the pictures of hens labeled as light are actually dark variety. And I'm VERY positive about this. There is NOT a light variety hen properly labeled on that site... I don't know who the author is, but I am ok with it if they decide to contact me to help them fix it

Thanks again for pointing that out for me! They do look creole, very nice looking. I hope that the rooster that was described as unfriendly is not typical. Because all my three dark variety roosters I kept are calm and friendly.

Aurissavannahs- nice picture, he looks to be around 10 to 12 weeks there, am I close? He's not finished growing out his his color, he's going to just get more handsome in the next few weeks

The pattern on the 'Flame' is the Black Brested Red Duckwing, with other color mixed in. Its a very old pattern, I see it in my Icelandics as one of the normal patterns, sometimes the Black is expressed as Blue, I have both colors of Cocks in the flock.

It will be very interesting to see how the mature colors are shown as more numbers are raised up.

My one concern that I have at this time is the Single Comb, being able to get through our Wa winters without frostbite. I have had one of the SC Icelandics get frostbitten. The RCs havent been much affected. Yet. We havnt had the Jan subzero weather yet. It wasnt moisture in the air or lack of circulation, it was down to 0, with air movement and he got frostbite.

We shall see what will be.

These are a few pictures I took of my jaers on 12/17/11 they are about 5 months old now, I hope to see eggs soon

Lovely chickens, Roosterfry. I really like you rooster. I have been trying to post more pictures, but I can't get them to upload. I think my picture are to large but I don't know how to resize them smaller. It is driving me crazy.

Thank ya'll ! If your using a computer go to the file where the picture is stored and click on "file" or "edit" that you should see somewhere at the top of the page, then you will see an option of "stretch and skew" put like 50% in the blank next to both stretch and skew then save the edited picture and see if that will upload to BYC. I take all my pictures with my black berry cell phone and the pictures are already small enough for BYC I guess.
Try that and let me know how it goes
