Male sex links, BR's and Cuckoo Marans would all have a white dot on their head. The dot can be quite small though. He could be a Marans (they do have white legs), but the messy barring to me says sex link.

He looks like my black sex link roo I had. He was sold to me as barred rock. I didnt figure it out til he started getting green tail feathers.

Well to me really it looks like a girl cause Marans,Doms and BR hens look almost black and the roos are whiter and the white dot dont mean anything for my chicks all of them are born with that dang dot i cant tell whats a girl or boy till they are 2 weeks old when the barring is better looking

I don't think it's a Cuckoo Marans - they are more spotted than barred, especially at this young age. S/he looks nothing like my young Cuckoo.

My hatchery Cuckoos are more barred than spotted and the white dot faded away to practically nothing by the time they were feathered out. Their legs were identical to the pictures, too.
