Not an Emergency...Marek's in the Flock

I'm not sure what to do about marek's. Some of these posts don't seem to follow what's happened to me. I added 3 adults to a flock of 6 months to 1&1/2 year old birds. After 6 weeks I started loosing birds of all ages. 1 or 2 or 3 a month starting in February and through the summer. I never lost any birds in December or January, so I thought mayber it was better....but then 2 more in March. One 11 months old and the other going on 2 yrs. I'm prepared to cull all. It was a hard decision to come to...but we were able to hatch some eggs in an incubator from most everyone so we can have replacements close to the ones we will loose. I have 2 kids, 6 & 9 yrs. old...and they were part of thisdecision. They are tired of trying to save everyone only to loose another. Can I cull, use oxide, and clean up the ground they live on.?
It's a sad sad thing to say, but culling them all, disinfecting, and removal of the top 4 inches of all your soil is a big job that's not guaranteed to work. Whether you cull or not, it will be there. The only things left to do is vaccinate all your day olds, and quarantine them for 2+ weeks, or hatch your own eggs from your own exposed birds, and chances are good that you'll be on your way to breeding in resistance.

Eventually the deaths will stop because you will be left with all resistant birds, and the rest you get will be vaccinated.

my apologies if this has already been asked or stated

are you positive that your birds are dying from Marek's and not something else? Have you had necropsy done?
No apologies. Some people do get necropsies , and some people have all the classical symptoms and flock history.

Is it her eye that's swollen? I haven't actually seen anything except the body paralysis...legs and then neck...perhaps someone else will have more insight...could be a tumor caused by marek's... Could be a tumor for tumor's sake... Could be a pocket of infection

You can see the top of the nodule above her eye in the second picture. Under the round mark it is continuing to swell. She has a bad patch on her neck that you can't quite see. She is very squirmy. I am hoping it is fowl pox not marek's but I just don't know. I posted under diseases and I was directed to this thread.
