Seminole, I get it...it is a rotten battle to fight and the heartache sometimes way too much to bear. A break may be a good thing right now and geese and or ducks is a great way to heal some of your pain and tiredness. Without mine, I don't think i could have made it through, trust me.My Polish, the oldest are 3 buff sisters. One of them has hung herself upside down 3 times, nails caught in wire pen. This one just once. Not the sharpest nails in the box.
I dispatched 2 this morning. The one dying I had put her in my bathroom last night, still alive this morning, gasping. The other one has been sleeping with her head in her feathers, skinny, and walks a bit, then sits down. RIP. I will still have chickens, but just a few.
Yes, Schnebbles, I have really had enough. So, they will dwindle themselves down. Last night I called Nava who has some Sebastopol geese for sale, and we are going up to see them this evening. One of her male geese gets in her lap. He steals her cell phone too.
I hope someone has a kiddy pool local.
I can't incubate anymore. I get left with too many roosters that I can't rehome. So I'll be selling my incubator. I'll keep my cheapy for goose eggs.
green poopdang it. I know what that is too. that's what my last cochin did, the one who never had paralysis.![]()
Regarding green poop... This is just one of the many reasons tube feeding is good. If tube fed and the poop returns to a normal color, you'll know that the green was due to starvation.
