We found one of our two year old layers dead in a nestbox yesterday morning. This is not the first time this has happened but this is the first time we have seen this :( No sign of ascites, but after starting to dress her out, hubby finds what look to be hundreds of small white tumors.. you can see where blood vessels have grown into the tissue to provide the masses with "nourishment" in fact. What do you all think? The gizzard, just on the one half, is covered in these, and I think it may be necrotic. Her crop was full.. and no odor.. just fresh greens and feed.. so she has been hiding tghis VERY well until now.
