I am so sorry to hear of your loss. At least she passed on her own, and is not suffering. You gave her a lot of care and love. Please update your thread if you get a necropsy report. Her body needs to be kept cold, but not frozen and taken or sent by Tues, because of the holiday Monday.

Instead of shipping her over night through UPS, I drove the hour and 20 minutes there to drop her off for the necropsy. They said it will take about 2-3 weeks to get the results. Stay tuned!

Necropsy results- Gingie died from heart failure. All other tests came back negative. No parasite or bacterial infections. Heart had fluid in it and was abnormal in size. I’m relieved that it isn’t something that will spread to the rest of the flock but sad that she suffered.

Thanks for letting us know! Like you said, glad it's not something you'll be dealing with in the rest of the flock. Still hate that for your sweet girl though
