not mating

The three that say Fertilized are darker than the one that doesn't say it, sorry.
I have never cracked open a fertile egg before, so I thought wrong.

Good observation with the yolks by the way.

An understandable thought, and we all have to learn things.
A lot of times photos like these use commercial eggs for the not fertile since those come from laing houses with no roosters present. ...the difference in feed/management between those birds and the flock the fertile eggs are from account for the difference in yolk color

i have 2 rocks/2 reds.they are 8 months old and have a beautiful delaware rooster that i put in their pen about 2 months ago.im puzzled as to why there is no funny business going on at all.all help is appreciated

Hens who have been an all girls club take awhile to adjust to a rooster, before they accept him. If they have been raised along with roosters, there is really no adjustment period.

I agree @RoosterCogburn7.

That is what took place when I added younger hens with an older rooster,
they did not lay for three weeks and he didn't mate with the for three weeks.

Actually, now they each lay an egg a day and they are perfectly fine. There is nothing to worry about. Good luck!

Yes, it looks fertile to me too. My rooster was once the junior rooster. I don't see him mating the hens, but my broody just hatched out several eggs, so obviously, he is mating the girls!
