Hey, welcome back! Quail are certainly fun. I am soooo glad their eggs taste like chicken eggs. The LO has me boil eggs every few days. She is four, but if I let the eggs sit in vinegar for about an hour and a half, she is able to peel them by herself. She eats them as she peels.
Amazon has a two pack of quail egg scissors for about eight dollars. They make baking with the eggs easier.
As far as caring for the quail, I will tell you what I was told as the woman dropped them off. They drink a lot. A lot, a lot. Find a way to offer each one about five ounces a day.
