Not One of my 12 Has Laid today! What gives?

I'm very sad to report that I lost my favorite sweetheart yesterday. Her name was Sunshine and she was a tiny Buff Orp luvbug. I have not idea what happened. I"m thinking maybe a wasp. I'm devastated! That being said, today not ONE of the other 12 have laid an egg! It's already 4:00 PM. I was wondering if they're in mourning or what the deal is! Any ideas??

(They all seem perfectly fine otherwise)

So sorry you lost a sweet bird. It has to be hard.
I'm a new-ish chicken mom, mine are 6 months old & not laying yet. I hope the rest of your flock wasn't traumatized.

A sudden change in pecking order may be the cause, or it could just be that all of them are having a cycle 'reset' day.
