Looking like a pullet2 pictures of the same bird. From a batch of 10 pullets but this one has something different going on with its tail feathers and walks a little more upright than the others. View attachment 2251964View attachment 2251963
Looks like a pullet, but I can’t be certain at that ageView attachment 2252026
6 weeks old...thinking pullet but now has a kind of red comb....View attachment 2252027
Cockerel. Pointed feathers come in later.9 week old Golden Laced Wyandotte.
I made my own thread before I realized this was an option. I only got one response (cockerel) so I thought I’d try here too. I read that GLW hens can have a pretty defined comb and wattle at an earlier age, which this one certainly has. Has anyone had experience with GLW looking like this, this early, and being a hen? I don’t see pointy feathers and she is so wide, and cockerels seems more narrow. Some lighting makes her comb and wattle look red and some it looks peachy. I want to keep her but if she crows, she can’t stay; no roosters allowed.
Looking like pullets so far
