CockerelWhat do you think? I'm struggling to identify my Easter egger chicks. They are 9 weeks old. Only one I have been for sure that he is a rooster.
The one on the right looks like a pullet, could you get individual side view pictures?These are all 9 weeks old Easter eggers.
I am not if I have a roo or hen... it's lighter than my other BRs and has that bright red comb.
I do believe you have a cockerel.

No speckledhen has gotten BRs from hatcheries and one turned out to be extremely "light" but it was a pullet (you can see the photo in speckledhens albums). I understand that a true quality stock BR hen can never be "light", hatcheries have totally messed up the genetics and breeding quality of the birds though. Also by the over all looks of the bird I agree it is a cockerel.
