GaahhhhhhhhLook at the back feathers. All are cockerels.
got ya! It doesn't really matter. I will post pics of it later when its obvious. Thank youWithout an age, can't really help. 8 week old cockerels look a lot like 5 month old pullets.
Cockerel. And probably a second or third generation Olive Egger, with Marans and Easter Egger in his mix. The black one in the picture with the Legbar is suspicious as well, with that dark red in the shoulder.Anyone want to make a guess on pullet or cockerel? I'm confused about the black one standing alone. (It does have two legs but it just standing on one in the photo. Hard to get a good photo. It's kind of skittish.) It's 8 weeks old. It's either a Maran or an Olive Egger (Maran x Cream Legbar, I think.) Chicks that hatched from the same batch are in the photo on the right, clearly a pullet (also Maran or Olive Egger) and clearly a cockerel (Cream Legbar, autosexed). But the lone black one, I'm not sure. I would have said cockerel except that red comb hasn't really gotten any bigger, and it doesn't act like a cockerel as much as the Cream Legbar does.
(Added another photo showing the tail feathers)
Thanks! Yeah, that was what I thought, but lately I've second-guessed myself so wanted to be sure.Cockerel.
