Still trying to figure out what Gordo is . Supposed to be a buff orphington. She/ he is the calmest and sweetest bird, to the point she is in a recovery pen( cat carrier) since the leghorns ( ideal 236) attacked her. ( not a brooder,food or heat issue, I have 4 birds in a 6x6 brooder with heat lamp in my work room just mean leghorns ) any way. She has soft fluffy feathers coming in. Any help with breed and gender would be helpful.

Yes that's a cockerel. Shame really because the pullets I got from that cross were really lovely birds and I would have tried to hatch more of them but unfortunately my RIR stopped laying. Would certainly recommend them if you get the chance to try again. They had lovely temperaments and laid beautiful green eggs.
