is it safe to say these are sex links and both males? father is a pure Wheaten Ameraucana mothers are easter eggers, some of the hens have silver edging on their hackles. four weeks old. Thanks.

What did they look like as just hatched chicks? If you have to wait for the first feathers, that isn't a true sex link, per se... but, yes, those are both males... your Wheaten came from Susan, right? ETA: is Garfunkel the daddy?

Silkie ~3-4 months old. Pullet or cockerel? I'm leaning towards pullet because there is no apparent comb development.

I already put the chick back outside. It has bright blue earlobes though. I can take more pics tomorrow.

Tomorrow is fine, just was letting you know what is easier for telling with Silkies... all Silkies should have turquoise/bright blue earlobes...

That splash in the last picture is chick number one's mom. The other chick comes from one of these.

I know, I was just saying because that's all there really is to see from the side lol. The comb isn't raised at all.

I always loved Garfunkel! Not true sex-linked, but sexable early, I would say... still nice to be able to do...
