Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

Possibly Black Rosecomb?
Sounds right. This one is a cockerel.
Not sure on this one right now.

Thanks FarmGal. Can I ask what it is about the cochin that let's you know it's a cockerel? And if you know, when sexing a bantam do you look for the same traits that you would in a large fowl?

Yes. The red comb and wattles at such a young age are what makes me say that. Also Cochins are notoriously slow to mature. :)

Hens or Roos?
All girls.

I know I've posted about these chicks before but I just want to be positive so I can get rid of the roosters.

I am sorry if they are not old enough to sex. This is my first flock.

If they are Dark Brahmas then you have all pullets :)
Hi, again! Just doing a recheck at 9 weeks on these young ones. Are they all pullets? Are they indeed all Dark Brahmas, as their hatching eggs were advertised to be?

Pic #1 Shimmer (most black on chest), Spark (most even feather pattern), Sabre (most white on chest)

Pic #3 Spark

Pic #4 Sabre

Thanks!!

Well, that confirms what I said on your other post. One well on its way to solid black chest and one with the silver blotched look. It's 100% 2 males, 1 female.
