Really? Thank you so much! All were purchased as pullets.... the RIR is my son's favorite. And my hubby is partial to the lavender.

Hi this is my first post and I was wondering if I could have help identifying the gender of my 6 chicks. I'm looking after 2 for my friend but I've chosen 4 of them to keep hoping they are hens. I'm not too sure on age and can't ask until she is back from her holidays. Also if anyone could give me an idea of their breeds too if anyone knows that would be great thankyou.

Chick #2 is suspicious. Chick #6 is almost undoubtedly cockerel. Can you post another close-up of #2?

1, 2, and 6 look like cockerels at this point. they are about 3 to 4 weeks old. They all look like mixed breeds.
