All pullets.

I can't believe I could be that lucky with them. Random selection from a school incubation project! I think the black bluebell one is looking a bit pink in the wattles...

Trying not to wear out my welcome here. Thanks so much for the help! I have better pics of the ones I as asked to get pics from.

Red sexlink pullets.

Thanks so much! I was confused. This whole time I thought they were RIR. What do the darker red ones look like to you? I should have gone to a more reputable breeder. Live and learn. At least (hopefully) I will have some pullets out of this. I'm so happy to have chickens! Can't wait for eggs.

The cockerel is a hatchery quality Rhode Island Red.

Hi,

thanks for your response. What should we look for to help us identify if Chippy is a cockerel? Of course Chippy is the favorite, I am sure that is often the way.

Thanks

What does "hatchery quality" mean? Is that good or bad? He's gonna get culled soon anyway if we are certain it's a cockerel. I might consider giving him away first instead because there's not much meat there and I'd rather he became a pet. He is feisty and pecks more than any of the other birds though.

You sure the silver one is a leghorn? I was thinking it was a bantam. She's the smallest of all the birds (the same age) and the quickest.
