Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

I am new to this website and not sorry if this is a repost. I would like to get some help in identifying the sex of my 3 month old chickens that are from a Cream Legbar mama and a Black Orpington papa. I got the eggs from a farm so didn't see them in person. The lighter color one with yellow legs and pincushion crown just crowed so I think it is a male. The other one, hoping it is a female. Whats your opinion? first pic is both of them together. Second pic is the unknown sex one. Third is the one that just crowed. Thanks!

Cream Legbar hens are barred. A barred hen can only pass the barring gene to her male chicks. Both of your birds are barred, therefore they can only be male. Plus, those long, thin, pointed feathers on the back are something only males get.

Almost five week old Buff Brahma....Pullet or cockerel?

Update: seven weeks old tomorrow and came home from vacation to a pea comb with three rows...still thinking Pullet or does three rows at seven weeks old mean cockerel? Thanks in advance.

It's not the three rows, but the amount of development on that comb, and the slight pinkish tint to it already. I'm thinking cockerel. I have a 19 week old Easter Egger with a three row pea comb, and it's not as big as that chick's comb.

You should try the brahma thread. I've found its easier to sex by breed then in general because of how different each chickens gene pool is. I have 2 buff brahmas about 2 weeks old. I got hem sexed from mpc. Both their combs look similar to yours but a little smaller. Not quite as red yet either but close.

both cockerels

I am not sure all the pallets I bought are girls. Can someone look at these pictures and offer an opinion? The one I am most concerned with was sold as an Americana but is probably an Easter Eggers.
