Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

My 12 week old buff brahma "hen" is developing bright orange/rust feathers on her shoulders. I have posted about her here a couple of weeks ago and was told she is most likely a hen. The new bright feathers make me wonder though. No long saddle feathers yet, but she does have a pinkish comb with all three bumpy rows and now is starting to geow in tiny rosy waddles. She is also the chunkiest of my four brahmas. Still a hen?
Looking back at the pictures you posted, the Buff Brahma is a cockerel.

So we have a new Barred Rock that is supposed to be a 17 week old hen, but the tail feathers are fairly pointy. I'm wondering if it's just the breed or if this may be a roo. Comb isn't too large and fairly pink, not red.

[/IMG]This is my only chick in question....s/he is 8 weeks old now. The other Rhode Island Red has a very pronounced red comb and wattles, obviously cockerel. What about this one??

Here is one of my Golden Sexlinks at 16 weeks... I don't think she is looking close to lay at all!

And here is one of my Black Australorps, also 16 weeks. She is showing the most red of all of my chickens, but I have heard that the BAs lay later on average, so I guess I'll be waiting a while yet ;)
