Need to know the age of the White Rocks. And the Production Red is a cockerel.Ok, can anyone tell me what sex these birds are, from left to right? The 3 white birds....
and for these 2, is there a way to tell by the tail? You see how the first one on the left has its tail, compare to the one on the right? Some hold their tails like the one on the left, and some hold them like the one on thebright. Is it just preference, or something, or is it different because of sex?
and in this picture, tou se the one on the left has a lighter color, and the one on the right is deep red, is that different because of sex?
and last one, is this male or female? And what breed? I got a bunch of random baby chicks, they were a mix of red sex link, RIR, and NHR. THX!
White Rocks are pullets. If they were male, they would have the same long, thin, pointed back feathers that your Easter Egger boy has.@junebuggena The white rocks are 17 1/2 weeks old. I thought he was a cockeral, but that EE cockeral tries to mate with him! That was throwing me off. The red one doesnt fight back, just runs away or struggles to get away once he grabs his head feathers like the hens. Hes a way nicer make then the EE. Although, he also is a bit younger, so prob no hormones going crazy yet.
Production Reds are 'generic' red birds that don't meet the breed standard for Rhode Island Reds or New Hampshires. Just about all hatchery New Hampshires and Rhode Island Reds are considered Production Reds.@junebuggena what is the production red cockerel? Red sex link? Ill try to get a picture of all the pullets i dont kniw the difference betwern thrm. The adult pictures on the internet look so different then what they look like now.
