The comb. If they get red in the comb before 10 weeks they are almost always roosters unfortunately. I've found this out the hard way. Easter eggers are harder to sex due to their.comb being so small.. I'll post a picture of my 6 week old roo..

How old is your Australorp Auntie Moose? It looks so much like mine, who is 5wks old. Their combs look to be same size & colour & i am just hoping it is a pullet.

Despite the combs? Another member suggested both black birds had too big and too red of combs to be pullets. Guess I wait two more weeks and ask again, I do trust you and summer from what I have been reading for the few weeks I've been on this website.

I think it's a pullet. I think an Orpington would have a different posture at that age. I'm. It sure though. Sorry!
