My double laced Barnvelders looked different from just 5 wks. But supplier MPC both hens about 3 wks ago.Now at 20 wks I have this

That's a pullet...

This bird is penciled, not laced. Penciling is when the base color (gold) is rimming the feather. Lacing is when the pattern color (black) rims the feather. Not a Barnevelder. Could be a Partridge Rock.

Finally the big day the big chicks are outside in the run and coop and they're so happy and love it. My roommate and I finally set them free and had a blast.
