Looking mighty light in color. Too early to be sure but leaning towards cockerel.
I know this is probably the wrong forum, but I have eggs in my incubator that were placed on 2/20. That makes the 25 days today. I know I'm not supposed to be handling them now, but I had to candle to see what the heck was going on. They are still alive, but none have pipped! I'm worried if I wait too long, they will all just die! At what point do I just help them get out??
What is the humidity and temp at now, and what was it throughout the whole incubation period? If I was you, I'd probably make a pip in ta least a few to see what's going on. Just gently open the thick end of the egg (where the air cell is). You can then see if the chick is ok, or maybe shrink wrapped, or what. Let me know how it goes, I'll be happy to help with anything I can.![]()
I've got to go to work till noon. It's 8:13 here. I will do that when I get home! I was worried that opening it may dry the membrane. What I don't get is why haven't they even broke through the internal membrane yet!? Temp was almost always 100. Set at 101, it fluctuates from 100-101. Humidity I upped from 40-50 to right now it's 71.
