Thank you!Pale comb and no wattles at 7 weeks is looking good for a pullet. There's always the occasional late blooming cockerel, but so far so good.

White legs and cuckoo pattern. It's a cuckoo Marans. The hatchery stock lacks leg feathers.View attachment 1025019 I have this three and a half month old barred rock. At least I think that's what it is, it was my "rare" chick from the hatchery. Do I have a pullet or cockerel?
So far they look like pullets. The sussex is very pretty! It's hard sometimes to sex a chick without others to use for comparison. If you saw combs like that when the chicks were 3 wks, I'd be concerned that they were cockerels. And at 6 1/2 wks, if the combs were red rather than pale peachy pink, I would also think they were cockerels. But the size and color of the combs are within expectation for a pullet. My second chick I'm a little a worried about being a cockerel is also about 6.5 weeks old and is BO.
