Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

First chick is probably an Easter Egger, definitely a cockerel.
Second chick is too young to be certain, but looking like a cockerel.
Picture 4 and 5 show two cockerels in each photo.
Most are too young to be certain, not all cockerels are obvious so early on. The ones with bright red combs are definite cockerels at this point.

I got 30 birds but these are the ones I think are boys. These are all 5 weeks old. The first one is the mystery bird. Not sure what breed it is.

BOY Looks like a pea comb, so probably an EE.

Too young & has no color yet. A female Leghorn may have a comb that size, so you'll have to wait.

Black ones = BOY

He/she should be a pea comb that is what the breeder produces
This chick is Ameraucana over Isbar x Biefelder mix hen

I breed Barnevelder and cream Legbar
Pea combs baffle me

I'm not keeping this chick I just got it to keep a single barne chick company when newly hatched so I need to know in the next couple weeks if it can go to a no roosters allowed home or to one thatwants a roo
Something else got bred into the mix. That chick has a cushion comb, rose and pea comb combined. However, the chick should be sexlinked, considering the mother. A barred hen can only pass her barring gene to male offspring.

I have 2 almost 8 week old buff Orpingtons, one is quite a bit bigger than the other, and has a larger comb. They are sexed chicks from my local feed store...

I'm not seeing anything that screams male. Both look like pullets.

That is very good news, I only have experience with sex-links, Plymouth Barred rocks, non-bearded Silkies and French Marans... the silkies and Marans were all cockerels lol

That looks like a pullet to me... well at least right now... I don't know the age... as your baby ages the comb could change... Silkie chicks are very hard to sex. Most people will tell you to wait for a crow or an egg lol
Lol. About 7 weeks. Thank you for your help.

A video of a few of my five week olds I'm watching so I can prepare to rehome. Already rehomed 7 Roos from this last brood... I know both btw japs are boys, but some of the Cochins and D'Uccles have me guessing/hoping.

White in back- Cochin pullet?

White in front- d'Uccle roo?

Sumatra pullet?

Partridge Cochin roo?

And is there any hope that this chick is truly a Sultan with its five toes and dark skin (though a bad one with the single comb) and a girl?
