Not Taking the Time to Search the Threads Tonight, Think Our Barred Rock Has Splayed Legs

Sorry I'm late for posting on this one but we took Molly's brace off last Monday. She has been in the same cage with her sisters since Saturday but we felt she needed the additional support until then. She has fully recovered and is a normal chick...last weigh in put her in #3 out of the six birds for top weight. She is towards the top of the pecking order. So for all you Molly fans out there it definitely goes to show that if you put a little faith in your "difficult" birds it could pay off in the end. We are now going to have a healthy layer for our flock and a special one as well. Didn't require any pricey vet bills, just a little love and some gauze. Take the time to take care of what is yours...you will reap what you sew.

Quick Molly update: She is living the good life in our outdoor cage, still the 3rd largest of our birds and is 6 weeks old now. When I get time this weekend I'll post some pics. The chicken coop construction should also begin this weekend weather permitting. Will start a thread for that one as well. Take care all.

Didn't get started on the coop this weekend, spent Friday in the ER dealing with a bout of PTSD, thought I was having a heart attack. Got started on it Monday though and will keep picking away at till it's done. Will get photos up soon.

Coop is coming along nicely...here it is as of last weekend:

Molly is also coming along nicely...she has turned into one of our best birds. She's the friendliest of the group, will jump into my son's lap, and has grown quite well. I'll snap a shot of her this weekend while I'm out in the yard slaving away again.
