My SexLink that just started doing the egg squat a few days ago is following me all over the coop whining at me. Is she just expecting me to give her treats or is it something else. Anyone else have a pullet about to start laying do this?

BTW, Granddaughter's EE just started doing the egg squat too. No whining from her. I have 12 pullets all purchased the first of May, estimate their hatch date the last week in April. Should have some eggs soon!

I neeeeeeeeeeed a daaaaaaaaaaaaaaate!!!

Just pat her on the back and ruffle her feathers so she feels attended-to.

Different breeds and different birds will make noises- my BR whine and wheedle to be held- it's hysterical!

My BR is a loud mouth too. I always feel like she's chewing me out.

Just give her some good pets and she'll get up and fluff off. Then she'll feel like you've done your roosterly deed.

I have a BA roo that gives them ALL the attention they could ever want! However, there's this one EE, that's named Henny Penny, and one named Liz Taylor.... those two drive me bonkers! They are air heads. They talk from the moment their eyes open in the morning, until lights out at night. Not a soft spoken talk. Oh no. They SCREAM! And just walk around the yard just fussing and fussing. "The grass is too tall. The grass is too short. Not enough grasshoppers. Too many darn grasshoppers! I'm tired of eating apples. Don't you dare pick up those apples for the horses!"
On, and on... all day long!

My 13yr old daughter wants to know if they make chicken muzzles. If not, she says she's gonna get a paten for one.

I think that makes us Chicolos. My EE lovesss me. She squats every time she sees me. I rub her back and ruffle her feathers and she looks at me funny and goes on about her business. My RIR could care less.
