Maybe you can ask a neighbor that also has farm animals who they use for homeowners insurance?

Or, an insurance agent in an agricultural area?
I mean, if you think about, everyone who has farm animals cannot be existing without insurance? There has to be someone that everyone must use

We have Farm Bureau. Most companies won't insure us because of our Akita. Farm Bureau doesn't care. In fact, they had to research it on the net, because they thought she was a type of foreign car and didn't understand why I asked specifically if they'd insure an Akita.

My MIL had her fire insurance cancelled once because she was "too far from the fire station". The idiot rep passed a fire station on the way to her house and it indeed was four or five miles from her place. However, the forestry station which was actually responsible for her property, was a whole quarter of a mile down the road the other direction. Didn't make any difference. They wouldn't reconsider because what the rep said just HAD to be right. Fortunately, she was able to find another company.

I know someone who sells a few vegetables thru a farmers' market. State Farm (irony of the name) canceled his home insurance.

He was able to get a farm/ranch insurance for his farm of less than 4 acres. This guy, apparently, makes more "singing" at the farmers' market once in awhile, than "selling" there.

This all looks like the insurance companies getting tough with the public. Mess with our industry (OUR money) - feel OUR power.

Like a good neighbbooooor . . . State Farm is there!

I am SO tempted to just drop my insurance. My DH won't let me. Only reason I give in is because he goes off on his "FIRE" speach. Statistically, we'll most likely never need the coverage for anything and when I add up all the years and how much $ I've sent them, I just feel stupid.

It's all fear tactics if you ask me!

We have Farmer's Insurance. No complaints here. They come out every 2 years to make sure the place is still standing.

They don't care that we have 6 dogs. Nor do they care how many cats. Plus, my agent used to be a consultant where I worked so she makes sure I'm covered on everything
