Ive been reading the forum and by the looks of it everybodys turkeys are starting to mate.......... why arent mine!! The hens wont squatt nor does my gobbler seem interested in breeding. Although i will say my gobblers have been strutting but they have been doing this ever since i got them.When the hens get near him he sometimes pecks them. Im really starting to get worried that mine wont start breeding. Any suggestions or should i just wait longer?

I see your in PA also. My two gobblers want to mate so bad but miss henny wont squat for them. Maybe PA isnt having the right weather yet?

im in nepa and my turks just starting mating about 4 days ago so just sit back and let them do their job. they know what they are doing.

My jenny has now been on my farm for a week. she hasnt really warmed up to me that much, shes a bit skittish. i hope this doesnt affect her laying=[her pic is in my post that says pics have arrived.

Okay well that makes me feel a little better. I can tell my gobblers are interested but just not the hens! Cmon birds start laying!

got my first egg Monday! I have one hen squatting and getting bred, the other 5 arent even remotely interested.

SWPA here, and nothing. Toms are strutting but hens dont seem to care and no eggs.

Unfortunately i think we are too. I made my hen a lean-to so she can lay her eggs there and tomorrow im putting golf balls there to try to encourage her
