Latest updates regarding quarantine are from 2/17/2019 at the time of writing this thread

Please note, that there is a current mandatory quarantine in place surrounding and containing the southern California counties of LA County and Riverside County.

This quarantine strictly restricts the movement of hatching eggs and live poultry within, out of, or into these counties. Movement of all poultry and hatching eggs MUST be cleared and approved by the CDFA.

Please do not list items for sale originating from either county UNLESS you have express written permission from the CDFA to move hatching eggs or birds within, out of, or into either county.

Failure to do so can results in fines and is currently illegal.

Oh, we had the same thing here in the Midwest/Central states a couple of years ago. I wish everyone luck to keep their flocks healthy and safe from whichever disease is running rampant there.

A suggestion - if anyone has to travel into the area listed, make sure you change your clothes/shoes before you go out to your flock. Some of these pathogens can be easily transferred from Point A to Point B, and then to your place...
