I brought home my ladies tonight, and all I want to do is sit in the coop and watch them get use to their new surroundings. 4 golden comets, they are all so sweet.

We've purchased from Performance Poultry in the past ... its hit and miss with them ... but if other Bluenosers want to purchase in bulk ,,, perhaps if we purchased as a cooperative we could keep the costs low and everyone gets a quarter of the box to order the chicks that they want .... shipping would be reduced to $22.50 each vice $90 4 quarters in a box.

We do order from Activelife in Londonderry NS and from Circle Pond in Chester Basin .... but in order to strengthen the mix we need to order more birds from outside the area ....

Glad to see a place for Nova Scotians. I am in the Valley and am thinking on getting some different hens as well as some mascovey ducks! So am looking for options! Will be going back and looking over this tread, but just wanted to say a hello! If you have any place that you like so far that you have gotten pullets and things from, I would love to know some reputable hatcheries!
