My Indian Runner girl and Muscovy male have had a love affair so I popped some eggs into the incubator to see if he's working yet and have some development. even better the Muscovy girls are laying so I have taken some for the incubator and will maybe collect one more lot before leaving the rest to the ladies. I will also have chicken eggs from my mixed flock hatching throughout November

Wondering what the due date for your eggs are! I don't know the length of time for duck eggs.

Duck eggs take 28 days.

I set up my brooding area early, since I don't have eggs yet even, but I wanted to build it before the snow comes, and I would not be able to find all my wood I wanted to use. I have it in a corner of the coop, and will have a lamp eventually, (the hens will not have access to the lamp and it will be chained, nailed. Not my first rodeo.) I will have part of the brooder where the hens can see the chicks through wire.

We had a major power outage so I ended up with only one Indian runner x Muscovy which goes into lockdown tomorrow but since it's a cross I have no idea when it will hatch (some time between day 28 and day 35) I have at least 7 Muscovy eggs doing well but I'll need to check their due dates

She said she will ship tomorrow, and will send a pic soon. Her roosters are Ameracauna and legbar, so even if I get a tan egg the hens hatched from the eggs will lay a green of some sort.

Here is the eggs, She is planning on sending 18 tomorrow. I said I would like the brightest blues, but tan and green are okay too. (The rooster on the eggs are EE, and legbar so the hens would hatch blue green eggs anyhow.

The eggs I am having shipped will be ameracauna and lebar roosters on many diff hens, to include turquoise egg layers, isbar, and other interesting mostly blue egg layers.

She is shipping tomorrow, and I asked for her smaller eggs (the hens are full sized), but small eggs ship better. and I don't want to accidently get a double yolked egg.
