I am just lost in space with these new chicks............housework is way behind from being glued to the brooders...................
keep trying to get pic's and they turn out crappy.

Housework on hatch day........

I don't do anything on hatch day except watch them hatch as soon as I get home from work!

Everytime you use the flashlight it gets dimmer since the batteries are getting used up. You won't notice until you put new batteries in. I had eggs that looked great. I thought they had all died over night. I could see them again after I replaced the batteries.

Ya it moves and has lines going to it but I just can't see if they are viens anymore!

Eek! I just preordered 4 lavender leghorn chicks for next spring - 2 of each sex so I can breed and also work on Isabelle Leghorns!! Old Orchard Farms is running a special right now if anyone is interested - lots of other very special breeds at a fraction of the reglar price https://www.facebook.com/groups/Rarebreedchickenauction/ I wish I could affor to also get the Blue and Gold Partridge Brahmas right now.... I am nuts... because 30 breeds is not enough! LOL!
