November/December "Hatch-a-Long"

I love that people are still joining this hatch! I set 13 eggs yesterday under 3 broody mammas who have ALL taken to the broody boxes that I made for them--cardboard boxes inside dog crates inside my chick shed. 3 eggs are under my partridge Silkie, 4 eggs under my white Silkie, and 6 eggs under my LF splash Ameraucana. Now to keep their food and water full for the next 3 weeks!

Can't wait for babies that I don't have to raise

 I GIVE UP ON THE INCUBATOR!!!! All Duck eggs died!!! I don't have a blessed clue what I did wrong. I am just going to wait for one of my girls to go broody! Ugh!

Aww I'm so sorry for ur loses! I lost all 10 of my duck eggs too but I'm going to try one more tine before I give up!

Thanks. I think I need a more advanced incubator or try something easier like chicken eggs or something first. I lost two straight off then the last ones made it to like day 21.

Wow that realky stinks to make it that far! Mine only made it to day 7 and one day 10

That stinks too! I hated loosing ANY at ANY stage. Maybe I am not cut out for this incubating stuff. I get to attached! LOL

We all get attached and loses is always hard but there no reward with out lose!

I no wt ur going though I was going to give up too but I just want babies so bad I have to try one more time!

This is my 2nd time, Guineas were first, None with them, and then Duck eggs, None with them. I am not sure I believe in third time is the charm. But I am crossing my fingers for you!

Kylie not everyone sees their eggs move....it's amazing how it can look like nothing is happening then a few minutes later one pops out!
