Finally coming over to October

I still have 3 or 4 small batches of mixed mutts from my flock in the hatcher and some more in the bator for next week. First one is a Marans mix and is pipped.

my husband asked me after I confessed " how many eggs did I buy" I told him I wasn't exactly sure...lol....he says " less than 100?" I could answer that truthful!! "yes less than 100"

I am not sure what day I am on. I forgot to write down what exact day I put them under my broody but I believe if they don't hatch out or pip today or tomorrow they failed. :| I will leave them until the 5th to be sure but....

Haven checked on the ladies this morning. We'll see.

candle them...I write the date I set them on the big end of the egg

That little fella's name was Milo, he was a Rhode Island Red. Very first chick I ever hatched!
