November/December "Hatch-a-Long"

I had a sneak peek preview candle (Day 3) tonight...don't judge me I am sure many of you have done it early before :)

Exciting to see some early signs of life, phew our rooster was hitting the mark at least with some of the girls!

SOOOO TRUE...lol

I hate waiting....I want the chicks to start hatching now! Lol Tomorrow is day 21. I just hope we get a good hatch with no complications. This first time chick mamma isn't being very patient! I have seen 2 eggs moving a little bit so thats encouraging. I think I read too many bad hatch stories....

just keep up the humidity!

Just went into lockdown this afternoon, and I'm already checking for pips. LOL I am just a little excited to hatch out my first Partridge Silkies from my own eggs! It's been a long time coming since I've raised both parents from chicks. I've got others in the bator too, but I'm sssoooo excited about the Silkies :)

Apparently we were participating without knowing it! haha. We had a chicken go broody beginning of Sept. and after we realized she was serious about it we stuck a few fertilized eggs under her. I think today was day 21! How often can I check on her before it becomes detrimental?! We're dying to see if this worked! This is our first try at this so we are very anxious. Who knows...
