November/December "Hatch-a-Long"

I can't candle them. I don't have a strong enough flashlight. I borrowed my mom's Maglight at two weeks to candle them but she took it home with her because it was hers. We saw movement in three eggs at that point. Three were duds, the rest unconfirmed.

OMG wow i just realized im out of time... ive got a batch going into lockdown saturday!!! and i still havent got my bunny out of the big brooder that i need to put the 3to4 week olds into so i can put the new hatches in the little brooder!!! ahhhhh.. i guess time has flown by taking care of these little guys i almost forgot about the timing on the eggs!! hatch days comeing up soon!! the 8th 12th and 15th...guess i need to get hubby in gear to build that bunny hutch huh lol

Oooh! I know what you mean! My "just in case" brooder has a rabbit in it too because we got a bunch of new rabbits recently... And I am building new cages right now! One of the rabbits is kinda crazy and might become soup pretty soon though so I may have that cage free sooner than I thought...

yeah i had my brooder all set up for my first batch of chicks to go into last month and about a week before hatchday the hubby brought the kids home a bunny and the brooder was the only thing we had to put it in...it was originally in my little brooder (i use to put new hatches in inthe house to make sure they are healthy before going out to the bigger brooder in the shed...) needed the little one stat so bunny moved to big one..now i need the big one... and hubbys only half done with the bunny hutch..

candle them...I write the date I set them on the big end of the egg

And possibly forget the date before I get back to the incubator.........................

Sweet ! My Runner Duck Eggs arrived! Now to let them set for 12 hrs before going into the ChuckBator ( i made it i get to name it ) LOL ! Looks like 10 have good aircells 2 look saddled . Ill see what happens tonight ! They go in at midnight .

I have ducks!!!!!!! Seen a tiny crack this morning now it has a bigger crack and a small hole. This is so exciting. My very first hatched ducks. Cayuga from show quality.
