Very cool time, another 2 weeks before we are back at that lock down stage. Best pan some things to keep me busy!

I caved... I bought shipped eggs again.... But they will be worth the heart ache if I can get at least a 50% hatch rate. Got a dozen of these https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/741027/12-wheaten-blue-wheaten-ameraucana-buy-it-now
My last hatch with silkies resulted in the first baby appearing on day 19...
I have heard that bantams frequently hatch early, but, i turned the temp down about 0.5 this time round...
although i am only on day 18, i suspect i might have babies sooner rather than later...

I only let mine sit in a carton for 12 hours because I only saw one detached air cell, which I had to toss anyways. Probably could have popped them in straight away. Started turning as soon as they went in after that 12 hours. If you saw any detached air cells, I'd let them sit upright in a cool room for at least 24 hours and set them upright in a carton cup or something in the bator and not turn for another couple of days. Air cells can reattach if not jostled for awhile.

Ohhhh and when candling, before going into lockdown, all seemed perfect..
11 d'uccle's and 1 bantam sussex, all with well developed air cells, and perfectly shaped might i add.
And i have suspicions i seen one trying to internally pip, so i quickly returned the lid and the waiting game begins..
Ok, so one Cayuga is out and dry. Still no progress on the one that pipped first but he is still moving and chirping so I am still sitting on my hands, waiting.
