This was my first hatch. Let my broody hen do the work. Can. Any one tell me their breed? 100% hatch. Let her keep two more after I took these.

How funny! My Clark is an escape artist as well! If he stays in his cage, it's only because he wants to! LOL I am fully aware that he can break out at any minute. We actually rescued him when he was a few years old from a less than desirable living situation. He was initially fearful and pulled feathers, would eat nothing but seed and refused to leave his cage even when I persuaded with treats or attention. Luckily they are so smart that eventually he watched and paid attention to the other pets and after over a year, finally decided that he too would like to be spoiled! He know rules the roost. LOL The only bad habit he still holds onto is the occasional curse word when the dogs bark...haha. He is SO much fun!I have an African Grey, Baby. I saw her when she was 3 days old. I've had her since she was 3 months. SHe is now 8 1/2 years old. She talks, sings, barks, makes chicken and turkey noises, dances and can break out of any cage. I love my Baby. I have read a few books about Alex. There is another book called 'Conversations with Cosmo about another African Grey. Ilove it. Right now Baby is jealous of Max and Max is jealous of everyone else.
where did you get the eggs? the black one is a dark sex link...a roo...look them up
3 favorelles and 2 leghorn! and orloffs pipping
may have lost one of the unhatched leghorns....I looked at it and something either fluid or air moved under the air cell near the chick...I left it didn't watch long enough to check if the chick was moving but it isn't internally pipped....
e Love those faverolles! Mine are doing awesome. Looks like I hatched, in the first batch, three roos and four pullets, not bad. We'll see how I do with the next batch - I might even have extra hens to sell!
I have my prize Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucana spectaular bue eggs going into lockdown tomorrow and my house is bastion of bird death right now. The mystery illness now has now claimed a total of 15 birds of all different ages with all different symptoms. I have 4 chicks, 1 cockerel, 1 rooster and a hen in the fridge to ship out for necropsy on Monday. This is so unfair
I FINALLY have 1 shipment of eggs that are doing great and they are going to hatch out in the middle of the freaking plague!!! I can't win
If you want details I have a thread of all the weirdness here https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...g-in-my-hands-right-now-help/60#post_12214984 I am just distraught
