See nothing to beat yourself up over. Go to bed, get some sleep. Bet when you wake up she's out & fluffy. Then you & the kids can celebrate.

My second assisted hatch, my shrink wrapped baby was hard to help without a little blood. What I did was had some q-tips with water handy and I first moistened the membrane which made it easier to see the veining, then I would try pulling back the membrane where the veining was less or smaller. When I did get a bit of blood I'd take a fresh wet q-tip and rub over the spot. Then I would make sure the rest of the membrane was moist and put her back in the incubator to rest. I only waited about a half hour between intervals as both my assists were still quite strong then I'd do a little more. With my malpositioned one I did enough so that he could reposition himself and let him finish kicking his way out. With my shrink wrapped I did it all as she took longer and was quite tired out by the time we were done.Well I do think I took off too much shell, everything looked clear until I saw that little bit of red and don't want to trust trying any more. I don't have any neosporin or bacitracin without the pain killer but what about A and D ointment? Too thick? I'm jut worried about the area I removed shell. I love pharmecutical samples, especially over the counter stuff. That way you don't have to spend a bunch of money to buy something you only use once cuz it didn't work well for you. Hate that!
I had a feeling I should have left her alone, hopefully she'll hatch on her own before the kids wake up so they don't smack me around for interfering, her pip was so tiny though and I hadn't seen her move in hours! Makes me want to cuss. more. OK, I cuss like a sailor so I'd have to get into the ear bleeding stuff for myself. LOL
I went about 20 hours on mine before I couldn't take it any longer...lolFor a wrong end pip I give them 24 hours... it takes about that long for them to absorb their yolk because a wrong end pip is made instead of an internal pip. Good luck... most of my wrong end pippers make it and are healthy vital chicks!

You should be fine. My first hatch i had all but given up on any coming by night 22, so I candled (at the time I didn't know what an internal pip looked like) and I tapped the air cell only to have my sole survivor peep back at me. I was so amazed I tapped again and called my son over to hear it. I wasn't smart enough to put it right back and she hatched out fine by herself....lol I know a lot more now than I did then!Ok everyone, I need some mental reassurance this morning!! I still had nothing in my eggs but needed to add some wet sponge this morning after are cold night and heater being on, so I impatiently candled!!!! I did it very quickly but the first 2 eggs nothing then I got to my 3rd egg and I heard it peep!!!!! I quickly put it back and got the 4th egg and I believe it is internally piped also or was working at it. I wet the sponges and all are back. Please tell me again, as long as I have no external pip I didn't just shrink wrap them right????? By the way not sure what I just did with the writing but guess I changed it....LOL
lol I tell myself it will be ok but I get so mad that I can't be more patient! I purposely said I was going to lower my temp a degree or two this hatch since I have had all my hatches start on day 19 and be done by day 20, now I can't stand this day 21 starting...LOL I know I have been told by the experienced that as long as there aren't any external pips you are good with opening the bator but I just needed to see someone tell me that again! If I could just get one girl to hatch I will be soooo happy! Shipped eggs really suckYou should be fine. I bet they will be just fine!! I have had hatches do the same thing to meLock down was a few hours late yesterday evening but I candled and all 4 are peeping! Then, I wake up this morning to a fluff ball waddling around the bater...I'm not supposed to see that till Monday! I'm half concerned and half thrilled, these EE shells are super thick and I was worried they may not make it out alone so this gives me some much needed reassurance, but why and how so early I wonder?
