November hatch along, anyone?

Pics
Yes this is the first if alls well the others are due on the 20th. This little one took to eating and drinking right away and talks to the older chicks in the neighboring brooder a lot. It also seems to like to be held and will come jump in your hand when presented.
That’s awesome I can’t wait for mine to hatch. I have a little under two weeks for my first ones to hatch

:wee:yaI’m so excited right now so I take the lid off my incubator every day because the way I have it figured the hen comes of the nest once every day I keep it off for 15 minutes or so well I decided to candle my seconds set of eggs this would be first candling and they are shipped so I expected to see some yolkers but they are ALL developing so as of right now I have 15 eggs that are developing!!!!!!

Might be advised to not totally mimic literally you can actually fowl the hatch maybe every 3 or 4 days just not daily JMHO

Why do you say it may foul up my hatch?
Usually keeping the temperature stable gives you a better hatch rate. Some of my hens only get up for about 5 minutes to get a quick bite of food and to poop once or twice a day. They don't need to cool down for 15 minutes to be healthy.

Really I am mimicking what my grandpa always did he did it every day after day three to day 18 and it was rare when he didn’t get perfect hatches he once hatched an egg on the rack of an oven he turned the oven on not sure what temp he had it at but he pulled the rack out partially and put a thermometer on there to find the sweet spot and put the egg on there and he actually hatched it that way so in my eyes he was an egg hatching legend so anything he did with an incubator I mimic so i can hopefully do as good as he did

I was not the one who said it would mess up your hatch. You asked why someone may be worried it would foul up your hatch. I am actually interested to see if it works! Happy hatching! Do whatever works for you.
