November hatch along, anyone?

I was not the one who said it would mess up your hatch. You asked why someone may be worried it would foul up your hatch. I am actually interested to see if it works! Happy hatching! Do whatever works for you.

I didn’t say it was you I was just explaining my process and why I did it. So far it seems to be working well as I have 15 eggs developing well all shipped eggs and 12 all set 5 days after the first set the first set was 8 eggs and 5 of those weren’t fertile as I cracked them open to check after a week of no development and there was no sign of development in them but I will definitely let everyone know how it goes

what light are you using or all light eggs have a hard time seeing in my green ones

I use this one and I love it it has several rubber attachments for different sized eggs

that is same one I have one more egg holder cushion okay maybe my lack of vision and my BF may have to take Son to look

I had some green eggs that I did have a little trouble seeing into with this but I could see into them. It was just harder to make out what I was looking at sometimes

The Son is a big kid he does not like the floor in the silky coop the only coop I have a real floor in

Two more hatched yesterday! One white and another maybe partride or brown looks just like the first one. 3 more due today fingers crossed.

If any of my quail eggs do hatch I’m having a hard time finding feed for them. All I could find was purina game bird chow growth and plumage. It’s 30% protein is that ok to start quail?

I think so but never raised quail ate a few

Yes! 30% protein is good for starting quail. I can't find game bird feed around here, so mine have to eat turkey starter crumbles. I try to grind it up a bit for them the first few days. I also sprinkle a bit on the floor of the brooder so they find it. The breeder I got some of mine from also told me to put a bit of sugar in their water the first two days.
